SECURITY SET TO ARREST IMPEACHED GOVERNOR NYAKO

Reports emanating from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, suggest that security agents stormed the Asokoro, Abuja residence of impeached Governor of Adamawa state, Murtal Nyako, to effect his arrest few hours after he was sacked by members of the state House of Assembly.

However, it was gathered that Nyako, whose security aides were withdrawn at about 1pm shortly after his impeachment, was said to be absent at his Abuja residence when the security operatives arrived to arrest him.

According to Abusidiqu.com, a source close to the governor informed that: “Some plain-clothe security agents came to look for Nyako but he had left his Asokoro residence.

“These agents were looking so desperate to effect his arrest in connection with a letter he wrote to President Goodluck Jonathan on the security situation in the North, especially Northeast.
“The plot is to arrest him and arraign him for sedition.”
