Award winning singer, Davido has renewed his  endorsement deal with Telecommunication giants, MTN.

The musician who recently won the Mtv Africa music awards and BET award announced the renewal of his brand ambassadorship on Instagram.

“After a long fight!! Finally renewed my MTN contract!! Oooshe!!! Move along!!” he wrote.

Davido first signed on with MTN in April 2012 and reportedly pocketed N30 million for the deal.

MAIGARI TO BE REINSTATED AS DIRECTED BY FIFA

Nigeria have managed to beat the deadline set by FIFA as Aminu Maigari and his hitherto ousted management board are set to be reinstated.

The new development comes after the High Court in Jos, which granted the earlier restraining order against Maigari's board, vacated the order which had prevented Maigari and his board from administering Nigerian football.

EMERGENCY UN SECURITY COUNCIL MEETING CALLED BY BRITIAN


Britain has asked for an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Ukraine.
Britain's U.N. Mission said Thursday the time of the meeting has not been set.
 
The request follows Wednesday's downing of a Ukrainian air force fighter and Thursday's downing of a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane carrying 295 people over eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine's U.N. Ambassador Yuriy Sergeyev tweeted after Thursday's crash in a rebel-controlled area that "Ukraine will present the evidence of Russian military involvement into the Boeing crash. This crime should be fully investigated."-CNN

MALAYSIAN AIRLINE CRASHES OVER UKRAINE




A Malaysia Airlines passenger plane with 295 aboard was shot down by a surface-to-air missile in Ukraine near the Russian border a day after a Ukrainian military jet was downed, Fox News has confirmed.

The Boeing 777 bound for Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam was shot down at cruising altitude about 35 miles from the border, according to Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to Ukraine's Interior Minister.

He said all 280 passengers and 15 crew members were killed. A Reuters correspondent near the scene reported seeing burning wreckage and bodies strewn across a nine-mile debris field. A Ukrainian Emergency official told the news agency body parts and at least 100 bodies were seen in the area.

SECURITY SET TO ARREST IMPEACHED GOVERNOR NYAKO

Reports emanating from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, suggest that security agents stormed the Asokoro, Abuja residence of impeached Governor of Adamawa state, Murtal Nyako, to effect his arrest few hours after he was sacked by members of the state House of Assembly.

However, it was gathered that Nyako, whose security aides were withdrawn at about 1pm shortly after his impeachment, was said to be absent at his Abuja residence when the security operatives arrived to arrest him.

According to The Human Rights Watch (HRW), Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad popularly known as Boko Haram sect has killed at least 2 053 civilians in an estimated 95 attacks since the beginning of the year,
The international rights body said the figures were based on detailed analyses of media reports as well as field investigations.

It said the killings and other abuses were part of widespread attacks on civilians in more than 70 towns and villages in northeastern Nigeria, in the federal capital, Abuja, and elsewhere that are apparent crimes against humanity.
